Petua tradisional

Please..

spare a few minutes of your time (esp to moms & moms-to-be) to read here and there.

Some blog-posts of real life experiences on petua2 org tua and minyak angin.

After reading the post of petua org2 tua, I remembered months back when I was 2-3 months pregnant, a kakak from my office recommended for me to take S*l*nd*h, kononnya utk dapatkan kulit anak yang putih, bersih and akan menyenangkan proses bersalin nanti. I senyum je.. refused to comment anything.

Having a medical background myself makes me a “tough-cookie” for those complimentary-herbs-whatsoever products in the market. I’m not a type of person that can be easily convinced to try all sort of so-called good suplementary processed food. So being provoked to try/consume  S*l*nd*h or G*m*T E**s or H*rb*l L*f* or A*mw*y or whatever, didnt have any effects on me.

The only supplement foods I religiously followed was prescribed by my Gynae; Pramilet/Obimin, Calcium Tab and NeuroGain plus Anmum Milk. Thats all. However, I try to eat as much as I can all those extra good food only form their original source. Lots of fruits, milk, soy especially taufufaa my fav, vegetables and drinks a lot of mineral water. Kadang2 tu mengada2 jugak nak makan fastfood & keropoks, but I’ll make I limit the intake and after makan tu akan rasa bersalah sebab provide unhealthy food to baby.

Now that I’m approaching D-day and after reading the post, it makes me to think about my decision of going trough all the berpantang do’s and don’t. I know my mum is not very strict on the adat2 & petua2 tradisional, but I’m quite hesitate of my aunts and makcik2 jiran. Plus my mak bidan is a very traditional one and perfectly suits what we will picture of a mak bidan; old, small frame, chatty and full of do’s and don’t.

To imagine I have to drink air rempah periuk and jamu, eerrrkkk… boleh ke aku ni??
