Kenduri Aqiqah & Cukur Jambul

We had the Kenduri Aqiqah & Cukur Jambul for Tasneem Athirah on Saturday, 23rd February 2008.

The kenduri went well and rezeki Tasneem murah, dapat byk jugak $$ pemberian tetamu yang datang. Alhamdulillah.

This time, we (my mom & I) opted to have a lauk kampung menu. So we were having daging kambing masak kari, ikan talapia goreng berlada, gulai kuning rebung, ayam goreng daun kari, sayur pecal, tauhu bersos and a few delicacies  i.e: sagu bersantan which was very sedap.Yumm..yummm.yummm.. Jiran2 tetangga yang datang pun byk membawa kuih-muih including my friend, Jannah who brought a green yummilicious cake, yang menjadi buah mulut all the tetamu yang dtg sebab colour yg sangat hijau & rasa pun sedap.

Mula2 tu risau jugak dengan Tasneem kot2 dia menangis for milk or her sleep sebab the ceremony started at 11am++, which was the routine sleeping hour for her. A week prior to the kenduri, during feeding I told her that we will be having a kenduri and there will be a lot of people around. She will be the centre of attention and she must behave herself, dont cry so hard, dont be a cranky baby and be a good little girl. Alhamdulillah, she was all good & behave. Tak nangis sikit pun mase abi dia carried around the house & with all of the guest cium/usap kepala dia, Tasneem diam je. Amazing!! She was a bit sleepy during the ceremony and lastly fell asleep on one of relative’s arms. Kesian, penat sungguh dia.

Later that day, we decided to shave off her head. Ummi like it better now with her ‘gonjeng’ head.

We’re home

 Yes, now we’re home as a family.

Abi, Ummi & little Tasneem.

We went back to Bangi on Monday. After almost 2 months away from home, it feels good coming home walaupun keadaan rumah macam kena langgar garuda sebab the management re-painted the house. Phewww, sungguh penat mengemas, mengemop & kena re-arrange the furniture; the whole house!!

The 1st night Tasneem’s having a bit difficulty to sleep, merengek2 aje walaupun mata dah bengkak2 mengantuk. Maybe she was aware of the new surrounding, tak biasa agaknya. But luckily she slept all way through the night with 1 feeding as usual. She even didn’t mind sleeping in her own bed, without me beside her.

The next morning, Tasneem woke up late and ummi took the chance to re-arrange the kitchen and the living room. Serabut lah tengok barang berterabur sana sini. Now our home looks more like a home. Bravo to ummi, yeay!!

Later that evening, we went to the babysitter’s house for a meet-up, since we never really discussed about the daycare with Kak Yam; the babysitter. We were actually being offered by a relative to babysit Tasneem, but the only problem is the location. Her house is about 15-20 mins from ours & the traffic around the area is bad. Kak Yam’s house is only like 2 mins from ours & about 3 mins from hubby’s office. Very convenient kan??

So, I’ll be sending her to Kak Yam’s house tomorrow for a trial-run. In the mean time, I can continue to clean the house and do spring-cleaning of my wardrobe.

Okaylah, better off now. Nak kemas baju2 budak kecik cute tu and bersih & sterile all the bottles. Will blog and post up pictures of the kenduri cukur jambul & aqiqah later.
