A Walk(er) To Remember

Few weeks ago, we bought a walker for Tasneem. She was accustomed of the walker at the bbsitter’s. Since our home and the bbsitter’s are ground-levelled (xde tangga), so we think that it is OK for her to sit in the walker. Lagipun senang sikit nak bagi dia makan since kami tak beli baby-feeding-chair.

It turn out that she loves her walker very much. She was a bit clumsy with the step at first tapi within minutes later she seems like already mastered the walker-step. The kitchen, laundry room, our room semua dah explore. She likes the laundry room the best. I called the room “The forbidden enchanted room” because there is a lot of dangerous and poisonous and hazardous and chemicals in the room. Tapi biasalah, lagi kita tak bagi lagi lah dia suka ke sana. Pantang nampak pintu bilik tu terbuka mesti lajuuuuuuuu ke sana.

Since she started cruising the house with her walker, I noticed that she started to pull things too. This particularly wires. There was one time I saw her pulling the electric iron wires and thankfully, she was still small to put a force to the wires. Tapi ia adalah sangat berbahaya. I reminded abi to pull out the plug once we finish ironing the clothes. Seems that our house is not child-proof/child-friendly. So we need to be extra extra extra carefull. *sigh*

Bayi Comel

UN*T*N ada anjurkan Sambutan Isra’ Mikraj and one of activities is Pertandingan Bayi Comel. Kami ni first time parent, excited je nak masuk pertandingan tu. Saja suka suka. Bukan ummi je yang excited, abi pun sama excited. Siap bangun awal pagi ahad tu, kalau tidak jgn haraplaaah kan… 

                        

nasib baik tasneem x buat muka ganaz dgn pengadil. hehhe.

However, we didnt stay long till the whole programe finish sbb Tasneem dah cranky nak tido. Puas abi agah2 ajak main sebab kononnya nak stay sampai habis, mana tahu menang cabutan nombor bertuah ke. Tapi tidak berjaya. Later that night we found out that Tasneem won the consolation prize. Ok lah tu kan… nama pun suka suka je. hehheee.

Tagged: Top 10 baby essentials

I got tagged by Little Mama. Top 10 baby essentials in my opinion are:

1. Breast Pump - Oh ini mmg sangat2 penting untuk baby & ummi. My best fren, my companion, my savior di kala sakit engorged.

2. Diapers - walaupun ummi tidak environment-friendly, but really….disposable diapers are a BIG help especially at night. Tq to Hug*ies Dry Confort, ummi x perlu bangun malam tukar diaper lg.

3. Minyak Yuh Yee/Telon - elakkan baby kembung perut. Bau pun sedap.

4. Gripe Water - ni sume gara2 Tasneem x poo-poo 3 hari masa kat JB aritu. Lepas bagi minum gripe water about 2-3mL, terus Tasneem melabur . Baru lega si kecik tu. Sekarang ni, kalu dia x poo-poo more than 2 days, mmg terus bagi minum gripe water.

5. Car seat - Tak payah banyak cakap. SAFETY FIRST!

6. Nappy cloth (lampin kain)- sungguh banyak gunanya & paling best, cepat kering!

7. Romper/body suit- suka kalau baby pakai romper/bodysuit ni. Nampak kemas.

8. Mr.Sunny- The only toy yang Tasneem x boring sampai sekarang.

Fav toy-Mr.Sunny. Never fails to entertain my little girl.

9. Johnson’s Baby Oil- Tasneem hanya pakai Baby Oil and minyak Telon/YuhYee lepas mandi. No lotion, no bedak.

10. Nail clipper-  Kuku Tasneem tajam. Lagi pulak dia suka men-cengkam. Kalau tak potong, mmg bercalar balar lah ummi. Pandai pulak, kalau dia tgh men-cengkam tu, kita bagi tangan dia sendiri terus stop. Ceh!

6 months

Wah, sudah setengah tahun rupenyer anak ku. Lets see what happened when she turns 6 months.

She has started on solid. For now ummi already  gave her nestume, pear, apple, porridge, rusks and potatoes. However, menurut kata bbsitter Tasneem, she now refuse to nestume. Maybe sebab its just a plain rice nestume. Walaupun dah campur dgn EBM, dia x mahu jugak. The bbsitter suggested another flavor~ Rice+Honey. But I’m thinking of buying another product ~Protimex. But tak tahulah masih wujud lagi ke tak product ni. Masa my mum bbsit my cousin dulu product ni still ada kat market. My cuz now is 5 year old. Protimex sungguh sedap rasanya. A few times I secretly mixed with water and eat it!!!!

Tasneem likes the fruits. I just steamed the fruits and then puree them bila dah lembut. Stock in freezer and bila nak makan, thaw and mixed with EBM.

So far she has not have any constipation episode since started solid. Tapi dah 3 hari kena diarrhoea. Sekali melabur, habis melimpah ruah kena seluar + baju. I suspected she is infected with diarrhoea from me since I also kena cirr-birr  since last Thursday. Bbsitter cakap “biasalah tu…budak beralih bulan” … Despite the diarrhoea, Tasneem is active and BF-ing as usual. I opted to take precaution so I gave her Smecta to stop the diarrhoea. The doc ask to monitor another 2 days, if after giving Smecta and still cirr-birr, I have to take Tasneem to her Paed.

Tasneem jatuh katil.

Of courselah its ummi to blame sebabnya tak amik early precaution. It was a busy morning on the working day. Ummi was busy at the kitchen preparing breakfast and at that time, Abi was out at the car installing carseat. The poor little princess was left alone on our bed. I suspected that she was rolling over and end up jatuh ke lantai. Menjerit la si kenit tu. I felt so bad sebab I was so reckless sampaikan tak teringat bahaya jatuh katil ni. It sure hurt sebab Tasneem menangis tersedu2. Ummi pun rasa nak menangis masa tu.

At noon, I called the bbsitter and thank God, no bruises and she did not vomit after the incident.

Lesson learnt!!

 She had one allergy attack.

As usual, I picked her from the bbsitter. In the car, I noticed that she was scratching behind her head several times. So I checked. Ada 2 benjolan kat belakang kepala dia. Then I checked on her back and OMG, ada banyak bintat-bintat merah. Penuh belakang badan my little girl. Then I tengok her ears, muka, tapak tangan and kepala dah merah. Benjol kat kepala makin vincible. She was scratching here and there. Yang pelik tu, dia tak menangis pulak. Tapi so kesian lah tengok dia tergaru2.

We hurried her to see the doctor. On the way, I bf her and by the time our name was called, the bintat2 was already subsided, benjol at the back of her head pun dah berkurang. That is the miracle Allah provides in breastmilk. She was given prednisolone syrup for allergy and piriton syrup for itchy. Alhamdulillah, she was OK the next morning.

On her development.

She can roll sideways and turn 360 degrees dgn cepat.

However, she has yet to do soldier crawl.

I opted not to compare my girl with others sebab I believe that every babies is unique and when the time comes, she will do what she supposed to do. I just have to monitor and see the progress.

Weekend of Babies

We spent last weekend full of babies!!

We really had to go back to Seremban as we haven’t pay a visit to my 3 cousin who already given birth their 1st child. My mum pun dah bising2 sebab the cousins dah nak abis pantang, tapi kami ni belum menjengah2 lagi ke rumah diorg. haaiihhh

Nway, earlier on Saturday morning, Tasneem and I went to visit my friend, Zul & wife who just become a new parent to their baby boy. When I asked nama baby, Aya; the wifey replied “Adam…tapi Adam apa tak tahu lagi...” Terasa ringan je mulut nak sebut nama ADAM MIKHAEL.. hehehe karang ter-sama pulak dgn babyAdam nnti. hhheee. Jgn maraaah ye Aida.

Then petang sikit, around 3++pm kami gerak ke Seremban terus ke rumah my cuz, DaisyZuha yang dapat baby boy, Adeef Feizal b Danny Feizal. Masa sampai umah my cuz, barang2 dia sume dah siap packed dlm kete sebab they’re going back to their home in Damansara. Baby Adeef mata besar, rambut lebat and suara, wow! besar! heheeee. Cute je dia nge ngek nak nenen. Sekali tengok BabyAdeef, ummi rasa macam muka Abang Asri, our cuz in JB. Tapi bila tenung2 lagi, BabyAdeef ada muka PakNgah Emi lah. Pastu kan, ummi mcm risau je ntah muat ntah tidak bodysuit yg ummi beli kan tu sebb bodysuit tu saiz NB, babyAdeef badan semangat jugak. Sungguh sedap dukung baby yang semangat ni kan. Ummi baru tahu sebab Tasneem mase umur2 camtu, badan x semangat sangat. Sampai sekarang ni pun, Tasneem x semangat sangat pun. heeeehhh. Tak sangka pulak, kami melawat babyAdeef, Tasneem pulak dapat hadiah. Maklong Aju (as what Tasneem will call my cuz) bagi new toy for Tasneem. We call the toy, KittyCat. Tasneem buat baling2 je KittCat tu. Oh, sgt ganas anak ku bermain.

Lepas lawat BabyAdeef, kami lawat my cuz, Una. She got a baby girl named Aliya Khairina. Ha, babyAliya cute je, beza dia dgn babyAdeef only 5 days apart. Muka Aliya iras muka abah dia. Una cakap, masa lahir je muka dia lepas tu terus berubah ikut muka hubby dia, sampaila skang. Dia tunjuk gmbar masa baru lahir, mmg betul pun. Kronologi Una nak bersalin ni macam drama skit,  last kami jumpa kat JB masa wedding cuz kami tu. Mmg dah nmpak dia sarat sangat, kaki dia pun bengkak gila tahap gaban. Lagi bengkak dari kaki ummi dulu. Masa ummi borak2 dgn dia tu, she was at her 37weeks.  Menurut cerita Una, a few days later, dia pegi buat weekly check-up mcam biasa kat Klinik Kesihatan, tapi terus kena tahan sebab high BP. After rest pun BP x turun, terus dia kena hantar ke Hospital Seremban dgn ambulans. Macam drama je. 

Lepas lawat BabyAliya, baru balik umah wan. Wan Tasneem dah siap2 menunggu kat beranda umah. Maklumlaaa, cucu perempuan nak balik kan……

Pagi Ahad, agenda melawat baby bersambung. Ummi bawak Tasneem jumpa friend, BabyAdeela, anak my good friend, Airin. Tembam sungguh anak dia. Dah lah putih melepak, mata sepet. Macam anak jepun. hheeehe. Tasneem tetiba buat perangai pulak kat umah Airin. Merengek2 dan menangis. Itulah ummi suruh tido tapi x mahu, kat rumah orang buat ummi x senang duduk. Nak borak lama sikit pun x boleh. Haihhh.

Petang Ahad tu lepas Zohor, kami bergerak melawat baby yang terakhir, BabyAqiel; anak my cuz kat PD. Tasneem tak buat hal sangat kat rumah BabyAqiel, mb sebab dia dah lega tido dalam kereta on d way to PD. BabyAqiel pun badan semangat… muka iras sungguh ayah dia. Kami panggil Zaidi Jr. hehe

Fuh…dah langsai hutang melawat babies ni baru terasa lega sikit hati ummi. Kalau tidak tu, rasa serba salah sungguh. Rasa macam seronok je sebab Tasneem ada ramai geng lepas ni. Bulan 8 ni nanti masa kenduri kat rumah MakNgah, ada tambahan 2 babies; BabyAdeef & BabyAliya. Bestnye.
